Food Services Assistant

Part time & Casual roles
Position: Food Services Assistant
-Permanent Part Time (min 12 hours per fortnight)-Casual    The Role The Food Service Assistants provide a high level of customer service and efficient service delivery to our clients, patients, doctors, staff and visitors in a safe and courteous manner.As the Food Services Assistant you will be required to assist in the preparation, delivery and service of meals to patients and staff while working within a team environment.Successful applicants will be flexible and available to accept a range of shifts throughout the week, including weekend shifts. The successful candidate will have: Previous experience within a food service environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Observation and awareness of Maryvale Private Hospital’s Mission Statement.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Food Hygiene Procedures.
  • An ability to work within the guidelines of an approved Food Safety Plan.
  • An ability to work within a team environment, and also autonomously.
  • Demonstrated high-level Customer Service focus.
  • High level of organisational and time management skills.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Essential:Food Handlers Certificate.Desirable:
  • Recent experience within a health care facility.
  • Understanding of infection control guidelines.
  • Knowledge of manual handling principles and environmental hygiene standards an advantage.

Storesperson

Position: Storesperson
Temporary Full Time-7 weeks Commencing June 2021We are currently seeking a suitable Store person to assist with the supply activities of the hospital. The purpose of this role is to maintain all stock in the hospital store using safe manual handling procedures in an effective and timely manner.You will assist in the sourcing, ordering, receiving, storing and distribution of supplies required to meet the needs of the hospital and departments including the Operating Theatre and Wards.The RoleEssential Criteria:

  • Current Drivers licence

This role provides support our medical professionals in a clinic environment.As a valued staff member at Maryvale Private Hospital, you will play a key role in delivering the best possible outcomes for our patients by providing the absolute best possible care. The Consulting Clinic Nurse Team coordinate the staff health program and work within immunisation guidelines.Successful applicants must be suitably experienced and have a commitment to providing excellent standards of care and exceptional communication skills, while working in a supportive team environment. Applicants need to be flexible and adaptable and have an ongoing commitment to professional development and education.Essential Criteria:
  • Current registration with AHPRA
  • Relevant experience in primary health care setting, working with older people and people with chronic illnesses
  • Commitment to ensuring the levels of service to patients is always of a high standard
  • Demonstrate excellence in verbal and written communication skills and the ability to liaise with a variety of stakeholders both internally and externally at various levels
  • A strong work ethic, positive attitude and willingness to role model and promote the hospitals core values
  • Confidently works as part of a small team

Desirable Criteria:
  • Current experience as a Consulting or Practice Nurse
  • Completion of Immunisation Course or willing to obtain
  • Current acute medical and surgical nursing experience within the Private Health sector.
