Graduate Nurse Program 2018 – 2019

Maryvale Private Hospital has demonstrated a long standing commitment to supporting local nurses in both the provision of undergraduate placements and a graduate nursing program. We are very proud of our current graduate program which has evolved from many years of feedback and review and offers significant opportunity for nursing staff to consolidate their acute medical/surgical practice while experiencing clinic, operating room and supplementary rotations.

After significant consideration, Maryvale Private Hospital has decided that it will not offer a graduate nursing program in 2018 and 2019. The reasons for this are multifaceted and include fluctuating activity levels during our building project. During this time, we will look to extend our relationship with Federation University in supporting both their undergraduate nursing and medical programs. We are also keen to strengthen the education programs offered for general nurses seeking professional development in the Operating Room. The two year hiatus will allow us to foster relationships with community based organisations as we endeavour to extend our new look graduate nursing program beyond the boundaries of MPH.

We would like to take the opportunity to assure staff/students that the MPH Graduate Nursing Program will certainly return in 2020. We would like to thank that staff that have diligently and professionally shared their experience and knowledge to assist our graduate nurses making the transition from supervised to independent practice.    Top
