Maintenance Coordinator

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Coordinator who will assist in the delivery of maintenance schedules, effective utilization of resources, carry out repairs and maintain the hospital in a safe and effective manner under the direction of the CEO performing a full range of duties.

The Maintenance Coordinator is an integral member of the Hospital Team. This hands on role encompasses property and asset maintenance, administration, liaising with contractors, managers, staff and patients to maintain compliance and efficiency relating to the property assets.

Your success in this role will be your ability to use your strong relationship building skills to engage with and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders. You will possess a sound administrative skill set and be experienced in managing maintenance invoices for payment along with contract management of planned maintenance work.

The Position

The successful candidate will have:

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Observation and awareness of Maryvale Private Hospital’s Mission Statement.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of OH&S Procedures.
  • An ability to work within a team environment, and also autonomously.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Essential Criteria:

  • Previous experience in a maintenance role
  • Maintenance of essential services
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff and other medical and non-medical personnel including trade contractors.
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • High level technical skills as this is a hands on role
  • Effective Time Management and Organisational skills
  • Must be flexible and able to work different day/hours of the week

Desirable Criteria:

  • Current maintenance experience within the Health Sector/ Hospital
  • Trade certificate qualification (preferred Electrician)
  • Class A- High Voltage
  • Experience in refrigeration and A/C systems
  • Elevated work platform (EWP) ticket
  • Test and Tag
  • Thermographic scanning
  • Exit/Emergency light testing
  • Fire Panels.
  • Record keeping
  • Microsoft office proficient

The Role

We are currently seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Theatre Technician to join our friendly, supportive Operating Theatre Team who pride themselves on delivering high quality patient care.

Reporting to the Operating Theatre Manager the Theatre Technician assists in the delivery of patient care under the direction of the nursing and medical staff.  The Theatre Technician is exposed to a broad range of complex acute and medical services that Maryvale Private Hospital provides.

Essential Criteria

  • Exceptional Interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff and other medical and non-medical personnel.
  • Strong teamwork focus.
  • Effective time Management or organisational skills.

Desirable Criteria

  • Current Theatre Technician experience within the health sector.
  • Experience in maintaining and using relevant Operating Room Equipment.

The Position

We are seeking energetic and innovative people with a strong teamwork focus and effective customer service skills to join our Catering Team. A passion for food is an absolute must for this role.

This role offers the opportunity to be part of a dynamic and motivated multidisciplinary team.  As the chef you will be responsible for maintaining a constant high standard of food production and dietary requirements for patients, doctors, staff and other hospital visitors.

Your duties will encompass all the branches of cooking, preparation of food, general specific cleaning duties, in compliance with Maryvale’s Food Safety Program.

The temporary position will be offered on a temporary basis and would suit someone seeking a short term role working in a professional organisation. There may be an opportunity to extend beyond the conclusion date.

The permanent position will provide regular rostered shifts and ongoing support in your career development.

The casual position will provide extra support to the catering team to cover staff leave (short notice and long term). This position will be rostered to ensure consistency for both the employee and Manager.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience within a food service environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Observation and awareness of Maryvale Private Hospital’s Mission Statement.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Food Hygiene Procedures.
  • An ability to work within the guidelines of an approved Food Safety Plan.

  • Certificate II in Commercial Cookery

  • Previous experience in a similar role.

We are also seeking Nurses with demonstrated experience in Scrub/Scout, Anaesthetics and Recovery to join our dedicated and friendly Operating Theatre team.
