    Business Development and Marketing Liaison
    Part Time Min 15 hours per week

    Join our team of committed people as we commence the next exciting chapter in the Maryvale Private Hospital Story. Maryvale will commence a major works project in 2020 to increase operating theatre and endoscopy services, consulting rooms, medical day procedures, new CSSD and a café.

    The Business Development and Marketing Liaison will actively market the hospital and its services to medical specialists, VMOs, referring GPs, and external agencies.

    The Role

    The Business Development and Marketing Liaison role is a business development role, so very much focused on growing the MPH business to address the demanding healthcare needs of the community. The  Business  Development  and  Marketing  Liaison  will  act  as  an  advisor to  the MPH Executive and Board in promoting the hospital’s reputation of providing excellence in health care to patients, doctors, internal and external customers.

    Qualifications and Experience

    Essential

        • Minimum of 5 years in a Sales/ Health Care and Marketing background
        • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
        • Demonstrate excellence in verbal and written communication skills

    Desired

        • Familiarity with and good knowledge of the local area and community need is a definite advantage.
        • Knowledge of the private health care sector and funding models.
        • Experience working with Visiting Medical Officers (VMO) /General Practitioners (GP) and
        • Postgraduate qualification including marketing.

    COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

        • Highly developed analytical, communication, decision-making, interpersonal, negotiation and relationship development skills.
        • Strong written and verbal communication skills who understands what makes medical practitioners tick and how best to partner with them for a win/win outcome.

    ANUM Ward- Internal Only

    We are seeking an Assistant Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) to join our team of ANUM’s.  Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, you will contribute to the health outcomes of your patients through excellence in practice, fostering a learning culture, excellent communication skills and working effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

    The Role

    The successful applicant will pride themselves in delivering high quality patient care and developing positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. As a leader modelling professional conduct, you will have a demonstrated history of displaying in integrity and ethical behaviours working within Maryvale Private Hospital Core values.

    ANUM’s are responsible and accountable for the unit in the absence of the Unit Manager, including education, supervision and supporting employees.

    You must demonstrate excellent communication skills, a commitment to professional development, a sound knowledge of medical/surgical nursing care and previous experience in a hospital setting. You must work well in a team environment and use these skills to work collaboratively with the patient, their support network and our multi disciplinary team.

    The Position

    We are seeking energetic and innovative people with a strong teamwork focus and effective customer service skills to join our Catering Team. A passion for food is an absolute must for this role.

    This role offers the opportunity to be part of a dynamic and motivated multidisciplinary team.  As the chef you will be responsible for maintaining a constant high standard of food production and dietary requirements for patients, doctors, staff and other hospital visitors.

    Your duties will encompass all the branches of cooking, preparation of food, general specific cleaning duties, in compliance with Maryvale’s Food Safety Program.

    The temporary position will be offered on a temporary basis and would suit someone seeking a short term role working in a professional organisation. There may be an opportunity to extend beyond the conclusion date.

    The permanent position will provide regular rostered shifts and ongoing support in your career development.

    The casual position will provide extra support to the catering team to cover staff leave (short notice and long term). This position will be rostered to ensure consistency for both the employee and Manager.

    The successful candidate will have:

        • Previous experience within a food service environment.
        • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
        • Observation and awareness of Maryvale Private Hospital’s Mission Statement.
        • Demonstrated knowledge of Food Hygiene Procedures.
