Sleep Medicine

Learning Objectives:

Healthy lungs and sound sleep lead to improved happiness in people’s lives. Good quality sleep is important and leads to improved mental health, better productivity, less disease, better weight control and living longer. You get an opportunity to do it every day so if you make a mistake one night, at least you get a chance to improve the next day.

I look forward to talking about sleep health. I will aim to educate you about sleep disorders including sleep apnoea and also non-respiratory sleep disorders such as insomnia and circadian rhythm disorders. This may help you improve your own sleep. I also aim to provide you with some useful tools to help your patients achieve good quality sleep and the health benefits associated with this.
